2020 Eagle Fall Leaf Collection

Fall is here, and that means it’s time for fall leaf collection!

Did you know you can get one bundle of leaf bags for FREE at Eagle City Hall?

Starting on October 5, Eagle residents can bring in a canned or non-perish food donation to City Hall, and exchange it for a bundle of leaf bags. (Limit one bundle of leaf bags per household.) The leaf bag exchange lasts until November 20, or while supplies last, so don’t wait until the last minute! All food donations go to the Eagle Food Bank.

Now that you’ve got your leaf bags, what do you do with them?

Republic Services will begin curbside collection starting on October 26. This service will end on December 4, Some things to remember for curbside leaf collection:

  • Set leaves out on your curb in paper bags only
  • Do not place brush or yard debris in the bags
  • Keep bags open for content identification.
  • Place leaf bags a few feet away from your trash and recycling carts
  • Leaf bags are picked up on the same day as your trash but by a different truck

Republic Services will also have a drop-off leaf collection bin by to the glass recycling site south of the Eagle Public Library (100 N. Stierman Way). It will be available to residents from October 9 to December 11. Loose leaves in paper bags only can be dropped off anytime during that window.

The leaves the Republic Services collects are composted and used for soil amendment along Ada County highways.

Do you want a year-round collection service for yard waste and food scraps?

Eagle residents now have the option to add weekly, year-round compost service to their trash and recycling collection through Republic Services. Acceptable items include fall leaves, grass, branches, fruits and veggies, coffee grounds and filters, tea bags, eggshells, pine cones, and needles. Subscription compost service is $8 per month, plus tax, for all cart sizes. For more information or to order your cart call 208-345-1265 or email
