Bureau of Land Management Work Group Committee

The City of Eagle is seeking up to four (4) At-Large members to serve on the Bureau of Land Management Work Group Committee. Members must be Eagle residents including at least one homeowner within ½ mile of the BLM property. 

Additionally, the City of Eagle is seeking one (1) Non-Voting Ex-Officio member from each of the following groups: equestrian, mountain bikers, runners, hikers, shooters, off-highway vehicle (OHV) users, or other non-voting subject matter experts as requested. Primary User Groups must be an organized group and the representative shall be nominated via a letter from the President or Chairman of the group. 

The purpose of this Committee is to advise the City Council regarding Eagle’s recreation and use concept plan for the 2,200-acres of BLM land within the limits of the City of Eagle, north of Beacon Light Road, east of State Highway 16, and west of Willow Creek Road.   

This is a volunteer position that is filled via the recommendation of the Mayor and subsequent approval of the City Council.   The term of the Committee will not exceed three (3) months from the date of confirmation.

Those who wish to serve on the Committee are required to submit a letter of interest and Request for Consideration Form. A resume or curriculum vitae are encouraged. Ex-Officio members may complete the same form, and simply attach the nomination letter from their organization. Applications may be mailed to the Clerk’s Office at 660 East Civic Lane, Eagle, Idaho 83616 or emailed to clerks@cityofeagle.org no later than 5:00 p.m. MST on Friday, December 4, 2020.
