The City of Eagle is seeking up to five (5) individuals with an expressed interest in or knowledge of animal control, care, or welfare, to comprise an Animal Control Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to recommend amendments to city code relating to animal control, review the current animal control contract and make suggestions, and suggest pet-specific programs for the City to consider offering. This is a volunteer position that is filled via the recommendation of the Mayor with subsequent confirmation of the City Council.
Additionally, subject matter experts are encouraged to apply to serve as non-voting ex-officio members. Subject matter experts must be an organized group, and a representative shall be nominated via a letter from the President or Chairman of said group.
The Committee will meet quarterly with special meetings as needed. All members will serve the same term. The Animal Control Committee will dissolve twenty-four (24) months from the date that member appointment is confirmed or upon presentation to the Council of Committee recommendations, whichever occurs first.
