The City of Eagle has several opportunities for residents and others who qualify to serve in a variety of ways.  This is an excellent chance to give back to your community and positively impact the future of the City.  Please review the information below and take a moment to apply if an opening piques your interest. 


Planning & Zoning Commission Opening

The City of Eagle is seeking one (1) individual to fill an opening on the Planning & Zoning Commission. Applicants must currently reside within Eagle city limits and have been a resident of Ada County for at least two years.

Individuals will serve a three (3) year term on the Commission. The Commission regularly meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 P.M. This is a volunteer position that is filled via appointment by the Mayor and confirmation by the City Council. 

Those who wish to serve on the Commission are required to submit a letter of interest and Request for Consideration Form (available at www.cityofeagle.org and at Eagle City Hall 660 E. Civic Ln. Eagle, ID). A resume or curriculum vitae are encouraged. Applications may be submitted to the Clerk’s Office at 660 E. Civic Lane Eagle, Idaho 83616 no later than 5:00 P.M. on Monday, March 26, 2018.


 Library Board of Trustees

Due to the election of a Board member to the Eagle City Council, the Eagle Public Library Board of Trustees currently has a vacancy.  The appointment will be to complete the term of the vacated Board member and will end on September 30, 2020.  Duties include attending monthly Board meetings, planning for the Library’s future, promoting the Library, seeking funding for the Library, representing the Library at local and state meetings.  Applicants must be residents of the City of Eagle.

Those who wish to be considered are required to complete a Request for Consideration form (available at www.cityofeagle.org and at Eagle City Hall 660 E. Civic Ln. Eagle, ID) and submit a letter of interest and resume or curriculum vitae.  Applications must be received by the Clerk’s Office at 660 E. Civic Lane Eagle, Idaho 83616 no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018.


Parks, Pathways, and Recreation Commission

The City of Eagle is seeking one (1) individual to fill an opening on the Eagle Parks, Pathways, and Recreation Commission.  The Commission meets monthly on the third Thursday at 5:30 PM in City Hall.  This is a volunteer position (serving without compensation) which is filled by recommendation of the Mayor and subsequent approval of the City Council. 

Commissioners serve in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and City Council in matters regarding acquisition and development of parks and pathways.  Terms run for three years. 

Those who wish to serve on the Commission are required to submit a “Request for Consideration of Appointment” form, found at www.cityofeagle.org, with a letter of interest and list of qualifications / resume to Eagle City Hall, 660 E Civic Lane, Eagle, ID  83616 or eaglecity@cityofeagle.org

Eagle Arts Commission Opening

The City of Eagle is seeking one (1) individual to fill an opening on the Eagle Arts Commission. The Arts Commission serves as an advisory role under the authority of the Mayor and City Council. Commission members actively promote, coordinate and strengthen public programs to further the artistic and cultural development of the City of Eagle.  This is a volunteer position that is filled via the recommendation of the Mayor and subsequent confirmation of the City Council. 

Individuals will serve a three (3) year term on the Commission. The Commission regularly meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 8:30 a.m.

Those who wish to serve on the Eagle Arts Commission are required to submit a letter of interest and Request for Appointment form to City Hall, 660 E. Civic Lane, Eagle, ID 83616. The Request for Appointment form can be found on the City’s webpage at www.cityofeagle.org. OPEN UNTIL FILLED


Historic Preservation Commission Opening

The City of Eagle is seeking one (1) individual to fill an opening on the Historic Preservation Commission. Priority will be given to Eagle Residents; however all interested parties are welcome to apply. Interested parties mustdemonstrate interest, competence, or knowledge in history or historic preservation and have experience in the disciplines of architecture, history, urban planning, archaeology, engineering, law, or other historic preservation related disciplines. 

Individuals will serve the remainder of a vacated term that will end in February of 2020. The Commission regularly meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. This is a volunteer position which is filled via the recommendation of the Mayor and subsequent approval of the City Council.

Those who wish to serve on the Historic Preservation Commission are required to submit a letter of interest and Request for Consideration Form (available at www.cityofeagle.org and Eagle City Hall). A resume or curriculum vitae are encouraged. OPEN UNTIL FILLED.
