Biography
Melissa Gindlesperger was born and raised in Southern California, spent nearly 10 years in Bend, Oregon, and has resided in the Treasure Valley for over 5. Over the last 3 years of living in Eagle, Melissa has become more involved as a resident to share a voice as the city continues to experience unprecedented growth. Looking to be an even greater influence is why she applied for the current appointment to the council. She has a deep desire to maintain the values and spirit of Idaho, which is what brought her and her family here.
For nearly 13 years, she has worked nationally as an advertising executive working with businesses of all sizes with a vast array of online and print advertising. Melissa also brings over 5 years of expertise as a realtor and real estate broker to her business resume. Blending business ownership with a variety of life experiences, Melissa is looking to bring a well-rounded, common-sense approach to council.
Married for over 26 years with a newly married young adult daughter, Melissa enjoys all that Idaho has to offer. From Tamarack skiing, biking to Boise on the Greenbelt, or enjoying a getaway in McCall, she appreciates the diverse, active landscape of this great state.
In an ongoing effort to give back to the community, Melissa has been blessed with the opportunity to organize, prepare and serve large-scale meals to those in need at local shelters and park ministries. She has also been involved with many service projects and children’s ministries at her attended churches in various cities she has lived in.
Believing that the residents of Eagle deserve to be a part of the decision-making, Melissa feels called to partner with her neighbors. She is passionate that when the citizens of the city attend council meetings and get involved in the community, their voice can be heard, to know that their concerns do not fall on deaf ears. Melissa’s greatest hope in serving on council is to partner with those who live in our great city and not just maintain but improve the area we all call home.
