Floodplain Information
Flooding in our city may be caused by two sources; Dry Creek and the Boise River. According to FloodSmart.gov, a structure located within a Special Flood Hazard area has a 26% chance of flooding over the life of a 30-year mortgage
. Unfortunately, standard homeowners insurance does not generally cover this type of loss. However, The City of Eagle is a participant in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), which makes it possible for property owners and tenants to obtain federally backed flood insurance.
The City of Eagle is dedicated to providing floodplain support to property owners, businesses and agencies. This site has been created to help assist in your floodplain questions and needs.
