Eagle is home to two highly prestigious golf courses, Banbury Golf Course and Eagle Hills Golf Course. Banbury Golf Course meanders around the south channel of the Boise River, successfully uniting golf with native habitat. A challenging 6,890 yard par 71 public course, Banbury has been consistently rated in the Top 10 Golf Courses in Idaho by Golf Digest for the past 18 years. Eagle Hills Golf Course is a public, championship 18-hole golf course offering mature trees, rolling fairways and challenging water features set against the backdrop of the mountains.
The Boise River is a popular destination for floating and fishing. Wooded through the City, the river is lined by an extensive recreational greenbelt.
The Boise Greenbelt, a 46-mile cyclist and pedestrian trail follows along the Boise River, connecting from Eagle Island State Park in Eagle through Downtown Boise, and ends at Lucky Peak Recreation Area. The greenbelt provides access to neighborhoods, business districts, and parks along the way.
Eagle Island State Park
Eagle Island State Park, bordered on the north and south by the Boise River, features a swimming beach, grassy picnic area and more than five miles of trails for horseback riding, hiking or walking your dog. The park also has a waterslide, 18-hole disc golf course, snow hill and zipline.
